Would You Stay a Night in this Haunted Hotel?

By David Clarke 2 min read

Of all the places that can be haunted, few are scarier than hotels. This is because not only do you know a place has paranormal activity, but you can also sleep there, and we all know the scariest activity happens when you’re trying to sleep.

And in a state like Texas, there are a few pretty old and amazing hotels, some of which have been thought to be haunted. But of all the haunted locations and hotels in the state, few, if any, are frightening as the Baker Hotel.

Hotel1

The Baker is located in Fort Worth and was once the pride of the little town. And even though the hotel only opened its doors in 1929 (during the stock market crash), it still saw a ton of business for the next few decades. Huge stars such as Bonnie and Clyde, Judy Garland and even Helen Keller stayed there.

That is because this place was the height of luxury at the time and had a fancy spa, gym and the first ever hotel swimming pool that Texas ever had. Over time, more modern and updated options came about, and this hotel lost some of its luster.

The hotel limped through the 60s, struggling mightily, and eventually closed their doors in 1972. And while there are people who want to update and renovate it, that can be very pricey and time-consuming. Unable to find the money to update it, the hotel has sat vacant and unused for decades.

Except for the spirits. There are supposedly dozens and dozens of spirits that reside in the old hotel. Some even claim that the ghosts of Bonnie and Clyde still remain in a room there. However, the most famous of all the spirits is the lady who occupies the seventh story.

There are rumors that she is the mistress of Baker himself and ended her own life by jumping from the building. As a result, she haunts the building. However, even the tours of the area aren’t allowed to actually enter the old and dusty hotel.

If it were allowed, would you spend a night here? It is one of the biggest spots for paranormal activity in the country and would definitely be one of the scariest places on earth to spend a night alone.
