These Ghost Hunters Traveled Into A Haunted Tunnel And What They Captured Is Creepy
A group of ghost hunters exploring the Sensabaugh Tunnel just outside Kingsport, Tennessee, have captured some very creepy signs that ghosts may be haunting the tunnel.
The tunnel, located off Big Elm Road, began construction in 1908 and was updated several years later.
Local folklore over the years have suggested that the tunnel has been the site of death, grizzly murders, and even satanic rituals.
In recent years locals have warned ghost hunters to avoid the tunnel. They claim that demonic apparitions have been discovered.
They also claim that car engines in the area have died and that the shrieks of a trapped woman and her babies can be heard.

There are several stories that have led to local lore. Those stories surround the tunnels creator, Edward Sensabaugh.
The most famous story suggests that Sensabaugh invited a homeless man into his home as an act of charity. When the man attempted to steal jewelry from the home, its owner confronted him with a gun. To defend himself, the homeless man took his baby and daughter and eventually drowned them in the tunnel.
In a different version of the story, Sensabaugh went mad and murdered his entire family before drowning a baby in the tunnel. Some people believe it is the drowned baby who is haunting the tunnel.
Sensabaugh lived until the 1950’s and it’s believed he would wander through his tunnel, making noises to scare away local vandals. He is believed to be one of the ghosts that roam the tunnel.
Visitors have claimed to have been grabbed by their ankles while attempting to explore the tunnel.
The KC Ghost Hunters captured some of the most creepy footage of the tunnels to date. The creepy voices and their haunting please are frightening.
The CSX (Clinchfield) railroad tunnel is a 384 feet curved tunnel that runs under the Sensabaugh Ridge. It is all concrete lined and has a width of 18 feet. The tunnel is located 2,000 feet south of Click Tunnel and just north of North Holston River Bridge.
Another interesting fact: When you hear a baby crying while driving through the tunnel it is recommended that you turn off your car’s ignition. It has been said that failing to cut off your engine can lead to a short that permanently damages your vehicle.
If you’re brave enough to keep investigating the tunnels there are plenty of videos that have surfaced from brave ghost hunters and adventurers. There are also some great theories about why certain noises are heard.
If you’re really brave you can always visit the tunnels on your own and experience the hauntingly scare scene. I for one will be avoiding the tunnels at all costs. Not because I’m afraid of ghosts, but rather because the tunnel hasn’t been maintained in more than 60 years and that doesn’t seem very safe.
