Discovery At Abandoned School Will Totally Freak You Out

Exploring abandoned structures has become a popular pastime for many. The thrill of walking through a building that’s been completely left behind to waste away is easy to understand, but sometimes the explorers are completely surprised by what they find within. Those surprises can be amazing or downright terrifying!

The YouTube channel “Exploring With Josh” regularly features an exploration of amusement parks, mansions, nuclear wastelands, and other creepy places. In a recent video, Josh explored an old girls school in Taunton, Massachusetts.

The school building was originally used to house thousands of prisoners but was later converted into an educational institution for children with mental challenges.

Keep reading to learn more about this school’s freaky past, and be sure to check out the full video at the end!

School1

The school in question is the Denver State School which was originally built as a military camp called Camp Myles Standish. The original construction took place in 1942, and during that era, it was used to house thousands of prisoners of war from Germany and Italy.

School2

In an apparent effort to convert the building into a more useful purpose post-war, the structure was transformed into a school for mentally challenged children in 1952. Perhaps in the future, it would be wise to avoid building schools off structures that were once used for nefarious purposes like housing prisoners…

School3

One of the strange discoveries found within the school was a completely isolated bathtub in a random room.

School4

If the explorers weren’t starting to get creeped out already, they probably were justifiably terrified when they started seeing these ominous red stains throughout the hallways. They look eerily similar to blood…

School5

What could be creepier than blood stains? Maybe Satanic symbols and words like “DEATH” scrawled across the walls and floor. That’s exactly what they found in this room.

Near the end of the video, the explorers began to hear noises. Likely already petrified by their earlier discoveries, they were quite disturbed by these sounds. If you were thinking about striking out on your own exploration of an abandoned building, this might scare you away from it.

If you think you can handle it, be sure to check out the video tour of the school below. It claims to capture a door being slammed shut by some paranormal force, although perhaps that might be the videographers imagination.

Whatever the case may be, the video has over 4.5 million views and nearly 70,000 likes. Viewers are fascinated with the history of the school and the ominous findings within it. If you’re up for more videos like this then you can also check out more of “Exploring With Josh” on his YouTube channel.

Do you think there’s something supernatural at work in the school or do you think it’s more likely the vandalism of mischievous kids? Whichever way you lean, it’s hard to deny the intrigue surrounding this old school!

Please share the story with your friends and family!
