Born This Way: Stories of Transgender Kids

SANTA MONICA, Calif., March 15, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — Kids in the House presents a livestream special on ‘Born This Way: Stories of Transgender Kids, an hour of medical professionals, transgender children, and change-makers in conversation to educate and inspire parents and families, on Thursday, March 16th at 11 a.m. PST streamed on Facebook, Youtube, and Kids in the House.

Kids in the House’s founder and CEO, Leana Greene, welcomes Johanna Olson-Kennedy, MD Johanna Olson-Kennedy, MD, Medical Director of The Center for Transyouth Health and Development at Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles; Diane Ehrensaft, Ph.D., a developmental and clinical psychologist in the San Francisco Bay Area and the Director of Mental Health and founding member of the Child and Adolescent Gender Center, a partnership between the University of California San Francisco and community agencies to provide comprehensive interdisciplinary services and advocacy to gender nonconforming/ transgender children and youth and their families; Sarah McBride, the National Press Secretary for the Human Rights Campaign; Aydin Olson-Kennedy, MSW, ACSW, Executive Director of the Los Angeles Gender Center where he provides psychotherapy for gender non-conforming and transgender youth, adults and their families; Corey and Eric Maison, transgender father and daughter who have inspired many individuals and families; Isabel Rose, a mother of a transgender child whose recent letter addressed to Ivanka Trump went viral; André Peréz, Director of America in Transition, a documentary web series and community engagement campaign looking at social justice from the perspective of trans people from marginalized communities which is premiering in fall of 2016.
