Billionaire In Singapore Has World’s Most Epic Pool
On the beautiful Singapore island of Sentosa, the shores are riddled with luxurious vacation resorts and homes for the world’s wealthiest elite. One of the most lavish luxury homes in the area, dubbed “Fish House” takes the cake, with over 5,8000 square feet of open spaces and panoramic views of the amazing scenery. As beautiful as the house may be, the pool is definitely the most jaw-dropping feature the house has to offer.
The homeowner’s Stephen Fisher is the founder and head of First Degree Global Asset Management. He first bought the land to build property on in 2005, a 7,800 sq. foot plot for a whopping $2.6 million. It was really important for Fisher to have ocean-front property, since he is from Australia.
The goal of the architect, Guz Wilkinson, was “to create a residence with seamless integration of the surrounding nature — water had to play a key role in achieving that. The concept of integration is also implemented in the exterior view by the use of curved roofs, which symbolize the waves of the sea.”
The video below shows the gorgeously built home, with an emphasis on the most popular part: the 10-ft deep pool in the basement area of the building.
The basement sits underneath a stretch of veranda and touts floor-to-ceiling windows made of 4.5-inch-thick plastic. The windows make up the walls of the room and look out into the surrounding pool, making for an effect that is both thrilling and breathtaking. Fisher explains that the fully submerged room can fit up to 40 to 50 people and acts just as an aquarium does, except instead of looking at swimming fish, individuals look at the swimmers in the pool.
